The Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE) and the Brazilian Company for Industrial Research and Innovation (Embrapii) signed a new contract on 11/05 to encourage innovation in startups, small and medium enterprises. This is the second contract between Sebrae and Embrapii.
The first, with a contribution of R $ 20 million, was used in two years and allowed the development of 109 innovation projects of startups, micro and small technology-based companies, totaling R $ 77 million, including values from funding institutions, companies and research centers. “We need to prepare the country for an economic turnaround.
In developed countries, the dynamism of the economy is based on innovation. But in Brazil, our performance has been disappointing. Among 129 countries, Brazil is only the 66th most innovative, according to this year’s Global Innovation Index, ”said Sebrae President Carlos Melles.
