Bitel, Viettel’s Peruvian brand, won the “Best Telecommunications Product” award at the prestigious 2019 International Business Award – Stevie Awards. This year’s winning product was its Ti5 unlimited call / data package, which aims to provide customers with a high quality telecommunications experience.

Bitel’s Ti5 unlimited package offers Peruvian customers unlimited calls to 50 contacts and unlimited internet access at no extra charge. Bitel’s revenue from the Ti5 package now accounts for 50% of the company’s prepaid subscription revenue, just one year after the product was launched.
In addition, it was a remarkable fact that only US and Peruvian companies were honored this year in the “Best Telecommunications Product” category.
Headquartered in Peru, Bitel is one of the few companies that has implemented tailored strategies to provide customers with superior service experiences.
As a result, Bitel’s 4G subscriber numbers grew at an impressive 139% in the first six months of 2019, compared with the same period last year. Bitel provides information technology infrastructure to the Peruvian government with a total contract worth more than $ 46 million, which is 2.5 times 2018. The company has managed 182% of its profit target for first half of 2019, up 944% over the same period last year.
Bitel’s popularity in Peru was also recognized in June this year, when Bitel became the most popular operator in the country, based on Arellano’s leading consumer satisfaction index, a leading research and marketing consulting firm. The result enshrines the strategy that Bitel has adopted since entering the South American market.
